Dr. Jaffer Barlas – Seattle Chiropractor
Dr. Jaffer Barlas earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2012 from the University of Western States in Portland, OR. He worked to earn a master’s degree at the same time, attaining his Masters of Science in Exercise and Sports Science. Currently, Jaffer Barlas is among the limited number of Full-Body Certified Active Release Technique® practitioners in the greater-Seattle area.
Jaffer Barlas grew up on Mercer Island, WA and subsequently attended the University of Washington, where he earned his B.A. in Economics in 2003. He then spent seven years earning experience as a personal trainer in Seattle and Bellevue before becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. He enjoys spending time with his wife and friends, lifting weights, running, soccer, and traveling.
Jaffer Barlas’s first experience with chiropractic was in 2007, when he received care for neck and upper back tightness. The first several times he received chiropractic adjustments he experienced an amazing feeling of release in his neck and shoulders and his posture improved. He elected to continue receiving care and was ultimately inspired to pursue a degree and career in chiropractic. While in chiropractic school he discovered Active Release Technique® when receiving treatment for a shoulder injury and found it was highly effective and a perfect complement to other chiropractic procedures.
